Making their North Hollywood, resident debut, with their largest production to date in June 2016. Little Shop of Horrors at The Noho Arts Center, was a huge success for The B Productions. Continuing her conceptual style of directing, McDonnell, led this production with her strong point of view. This production included film, projection, technology and left audiences having conversations. “McDonnell’s concept is thoroughly enjoyable and ingenious” –Tin Pan LA
“Significant as director Brianna McDonnell’s concept tweaking may be, Howard Ashman’s Cold War paranoia-inspired book remains basically unaltered” –StageSceneLA
In 2017, The B Productions brought together talented LA artists to create an original piece. Titled Polite People Don’t Talk About That, a collection of personal monologues regarding sociopolitical topics, meant to open perspectives and tell stories. All proceeds of this production were donated to the American Civil Liberties Union.
The B Production continues to create videos online, most recently the “While Fat” web series.
